Ptosis may be congenital or acquired and can have several different causes. The surgical technique is therefore not selected solely according to the visible degree of eyelid drooping. Assessment of levator function and exclusion of conditions requiring different treatment are important before surgery. At Ahvar Clinic, the correction method is selected after specialized evaluation.
What it addresses / benefits
- correction of upper eyelid drooping

Preparation
The function of the eyelid elevator muscle, eyelid position, vision, and the cause of ptosis are evaluated before surgery. Some types of ptosis require additional neurological or other medical assessment.
How the procedure is performed
The surgeon corrects the structures responsible for elevating the eyelid. The method depends on muscle function and the underlying cause.
Result / recovery
Swelling, bruising, and temporary incomplete eyelid closure may occur after surgery. Final results are assessed after healing.
