An ophthalmologist consultation is recommended for reduced vision, eye pain, redness, flashes, floaters, double vision, and other visual symptoms. The same symptom may be associated with different eye conditions, so diagnosis is based on examination and appropriate testing. At Ahvar Clinic, the diagnostic plan and further management are selected individually by the ophthalmologist.
What it addresses / benefits
- assessment of vision and eye-related complaints
- identification of indications for additional testing
- interpretation of previous examination results
- selection of treatment or vision correction
- determination of whether surgical treatment is required.
Preparation
Special preparation is usually not required. Patients are encouraged to bring previous medical reports, examination results, glasses or contact lenses, and a list of current medications.
How the procedure is performed
The doctor reviews symptoms, medical history, and previously diagnosed eye conditions. An ophthalmic examination is performed, and the required scope of diagnostic testing is determined individually. Additional investigations may be recommended when necessary.
Result / recovery
The patient receives an ophthalmic assessment and recommendations. If a condition is identified, a plan for treatment, surgery, or further monitoring is developed.
