Eyebrow Transplant

An eyebrow transplant is a procedure used to restore eyebrow shape and density by transferring the patient’s own hair follicles into selected areas.

Eyebrow transplantation restores hair in the eyebrow area by transferring the patient’s own hair follicles. It may be considered in cases of reduced density, localized hair absence, asymmetry, or when correction of the eyebrow shape is desired. Compared with scalp transplantation, eyebrow restoration requires particularly precise control of the direction, angle, and curvature of implanted hairs. Even small differences in follicle placement can affect the final visual shape, which is why individualized pre-procedure marking is an important part of planning. At Ahvar Clinic, the eyebrow shape and transplantation pattern are planned together with the specialist. The donor area and number of grafts are determined individually, with attention to natural hair positioning and harmony with the patient’s facial features.

What it addresses / benefits

  • restoration of partially missing eyebrow hair
  • increased density of sparse eyebrows
  • correction of shape and asymmetry
  • filling localized areas with reduced hair growth
  • individualized control of hair direction and placement.

Preparation

Before the procedure, the specialist evaluates the condition of the eyebrows, the causes of reduced density, and the available donor area. The desired eyebrow shape, width, and contour are discussed with the patient. Medical history is also reviewed, and additional evaluation may be recommended when necessary.

How the procedure is performed

The specialist first marks the planned eyebrow shape according to the proportions of the face and the patient’s preferences. Suitable follicular units are harvested from the donor area and transplanted into the prepared eyebrow zones. Particular attention is paid to the angle, direction, and curvature of future hair growth. After transplantation, the doctor provides instructions for postoperative care.

Result / recovery

Temporary local changes related to healing may occur in the eyebrow area after the procedure. Some transplanted hairs may temporarily shed before new growth begins. The result develops gradually as new hairs grow and adapt to their natural growth cycle.
