Hairline Correction

Hairline correction is the individualized reshaping and restoration of the frontal hairline using transplantation of the patient’s own hair follicles.

Hairline correction is a form of hair transplantation focused on restoring or reshaping the frontal border of the hair. It may be considered for a naturally high hairline, an uneven contour, recession caused by hair loss, or changes affecting the frontal and temporal regions. Careful hairline planning is essential for a natural appearance. The specialist takes into account facial proportions, age, existing growth pattern, degree and possible progression of hair loss, and the available donor supply. The frontal zone usually requires particularly precise graft distribution and a gradual transition in density. At Ahvar Clinic, the hairline is individually designed before transplantation. The patient and specialist discuss the planned shape and extent of correction, after which a personalized graft-placement plan is created.

What it addresses / benefits

  • correction of a high or uneven hairline
  • restoration of frontal and temporal areas
  • reshaping of the visual contour of the frontal hairline
  • creation of a gradual transition between skin and existing hair
  • planning based on facial proportions.

Preparation

During consultation, the specialist evaluates the existing hairline, the pattern of hair loss, the condition of the donor area, and facial proportions. The desired hairline shape is discussed with the patient. Planning also considers the possibility of future changes in the density of the patient’s native hair.

How the procedure is performed

The specialist creates a preliminary design and marks the future hairline. Once the shape is agreed upon, suitable follicular grafts are harvested from the donor area. They are placed in the frontal region to create a gradual transition and natural direction of growth. Density and graft distribution are determined individually according to the patient’s existing hair pattern.

Result / recovery

The new hairline does not develop its final appearance immediately. Transplanted follicles pass through natural phases of recovery and growth, so the visual result changes gradually. The final assessment considers not only density but also hairline shape, growth direction, and integration with surrounding hair.
