The paranasal sinuses are air-filled spaces connected to the nasal cavity. Inflammatory and other disorders in this area may cause nasal obstruction, discharge, facial pressure, pain, and other symptoms. Management depends on the duration of the condition, the underlying cause, and diagnostic findings. Not every sinus disorder requires surgery. At Ahvar Clinic, diagnosis and treatment of paranasal sinus conditions are planned individually after ENT evaluation.
What it addresses / benefits
- diagnosis of acute and chronic sinus disorders
- assessment of persistent nasal obstruction
- evaluation of pain or pressure in the sinus region

Preparation
Special preparation for the initial examination is usually not required. Patients should bring previous CT scans, X-rays, endoscopic findings, or treatment records if available.
How the procedure is performed
The ENT specialist reviews symptoms and examines the nasal cavity. Additional imaging or other testing may be required depending on the clinical picture. Once the cause is clarified, conservative or surgical management is selected.
