Inflammatory ENT disorders include a broad range of conditions affecting the nose, paranasal sinuses, pharynx, larynx, and ears. Although some symptoms may appear similar, the underlying causes can differ significantly. Treatment is therefore selected after examination and does not always require antibiotics. The ENT specialist evaluates the clinical findings and determines whether further testing is needed. At Ahvar Clinic, treatment of inflammatory ENT conditions is individualized according to the diagnosis and the patient’s condition.

What it addresses / benefits

  • diagnosis of inflammatory disorders of the nose and throat
  • assessment of inflammatory ear conditions
  • evaluation of acute and chronic disease
  • determination of whether medication or another treatment is required
  • monitoring of disease progression and recovery.

Preparation

Special preparation is usually not required. Patients should inform the doctor about medications already used, especially antibiotics and topical treatments. Previous diagnostic results may also be helpful.

How the procedure is performed

The ENT specialist reviews symptoms, their duration, and previous treatment. The affected area is examined, and additional testing may be recommended when necessary. Treatment and follow-up are then selected according to the findings.

Result / recovery

Progress depends on the cause and type of inflammatory process. Chronic or recurrent disease may require additional evaluation and ongoing monitoring.
