Vacuum aspiration is a surgical procedure in which uterine contents are removed using a specialized aspiration system.

Book an appointment →

Vacuum aspiration is used to remove uterine contents in selected clinical situations, including some cases of early pregnancy loss. The indication, method of pain control, and follow-up depend on the individual clinical situation. At Ahvar Clinic, the procedure is performed only after medical evaluation.

What it addresses / benefits

  • evacuation of uterine contents when medically indicated
  • use in selected cases of early pregnancy loss
  • controlled aspiration technique
  • possibility of histological examination of tissue
  • individualized treatment strategy.

Preparation

Before the procedure, the doctor confirms the indication, evaluates gestational age or uterine status, and orders additional testing when necessary.

How the procedure is performed

A specialized cannula is passed through the cervix into the uterine cavity and connected to an aspiration system. Uterine contents are removed using vacuum.

Result / recovery

Cramping and vaginal bleeding may occur afterward. Heavy bleeding, fever, or severe pain requires medical assessment.
