Tubal Sterilization (Laparoscopic)

Laparoscopic sterilization provides permanent contraception by blocking or removing the fallopian tubes through small surgical incisions.

Book an appointment →

Laparoscopy is one of the main surgical approaches used for female sterilization. The fallopian tubes may be blocked using different methods or removed completely. The procedure does not protect against sexually transmitted infections. At Ahvar Clinic, the surgical method is selected after consultation and preoperative assessment.

What it addresses / benefits

  • permanent contraception
  • minimally invasive surgical access
  • direct visualization of the fallopian tubes
  • possibility of tubal occlusion or removal
  • relatively short recovery.

Preparation

Detailed counseling about the permanent nature of the procedure and reversible alternatives is required. Standard preoperative assessment is performed.

How the procedure is performed

A laparoscope is inserted through a small abdominal incision. Through additional access points, the fallopian tubes are occluded, divided, or removed according to the selected technique.

Result / recovery

Recovery after laparoscopy is generally relatively short. The contraceptive method should be considered permanent.
