Miniphlebectomy is mainly used to remove superficial varicose tributaries. If these veins are caused by truncal reflux, the primary source of the disease should also be treated. Unilateral and bilateral miniphlebectomy can share one medical service page with different tariff options.
What it addresses / benefits
- removal of varicose tributaries
- very small skin access points
- localized surgical correction
- possible combination with EVLA
- treatment of selected superficial veins.
Preparation
Varicose tributaries are examined and, when necessary, mapped by ultrasound before treatment.
How the procedure is performed
Through small skin punctures, the varicose vein is grasped with a specialized instrument and removed in short segments.
Result / recovery
Bruising and localized tenderness may occur. The micro-access sites gradually heal.
