A phlebologist evaluates and treats venous disorders including varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, thrombotic conditions, and other vascular problems. Choosing between observation, sclerotherapy, endovenous treatment, or surgery requires assessment of venous anatomy and blood flow. At Ahvar Clinic, management is individualized after consultation and appropriate vascular diagnostics.

What it addresses / benefits

  • assessment of varicose veins and swelling
  • evaluation of chronic venous disease
  • assessment of thrombosis and complication risk
  • selection of appropriate vascular imaging
  • development of an individualized treatment plan.

Preparation

Special preparation is usually not required. Patients are encouraged to bring previous vascular ultrasound reports, medical records, and a list of current medications.

How the procedure is performed

The doctor reviews symptoms and vascular history, examines the limbs, and evaluates visible venous changes. Duplex ultrasound may be recommended when necessary. Further treatment is planned after diagnostic assessment.

Result / recovery

The patient receives a medical assessment and recommendations. If venous reflux, thrombosis, or another vascular disorder is identified, a treatment plan is developed.
