In some patients, pathological reflux is present simultaneously in the great and small saphenous systems. In such cases, the vascular surgeon may plan treatment of both trunks during one session or in stages. The number of treated limbs affects the tariff and procedure volume but does not create a separate medical entity.
What it addresses / benefits
- treatment of multiple sources of truncal reflux
- integrated procedural planning
- ultrasound guidance for each segment
- minimally invasive approach
- individualized treatment extent.
Preparation
Detailed duplex mapping of both saphenous systems is required.
How the procedure is performed
Each pathological vein is catheterized and treated separately under ultrasound guidance according to the surgical plan.
Result / recovery
All treated veins are monitored after the procedure. Recovery depends on the total treatment volume.
