Varicose disease often involves both an incompetent main saphenous trunk and enlarged tributaries. A combined procedure allows several pathological venous segments to be treated within one therapeutic strategy. Treatment extent is determined only after duplex mapping.
What it addresses / benefits
- treatment of truncal reflux
- treatment of varicose tributaries
- comprehensive correction of reflux sources
- ultrasound guidance
- individualized venous mapping.
Preparation
Ultrasound mapping of the truncal vein and all tributaries planned for treatment is performed.
How the procedure is performed
The main pathological trunk is treated with laser ablation, and tributary veins are treated using the most appropriate endovenous technique according to the plan.
Result / recovery
Bruising, tenderness, and temporary firmness along treated veins may occur. Follow-up is required.
