Perforator veins connect the superficial and deep venous systems. Not every incompetent perforator automatically requires treatment. Indications depend on the clinical condition and overall pattern of chronic venous disease. At Ahvar Clinic, treatment is individualized after duplex evaluation.
What it addresses / benefits
- targeted treatment of perforator reflux
- endovenous access
- ultrasound guidance
- localized treatment
- possible inclusion in comprehensive venous care.
Preparation
The perforator must be precisely localized by ultrasound and its hemodynamic significance assessed.
How the procedure is performed
An endovenous device is introduced into the pathological perforator under ultrasound guidance and the selected segment is treated with laser energy.
Result / recovery
The treated area and overall venous flow are evaluated after the procedure.
