Not every lesion referred to as a hemangioma requires surgical removal. Some vascular lesions are observed or treated using other methods. At Ahvar Clinic, surgery is considered only after the lesion type and anatomy have been established.
What it addresses / benefits
- treatment of selected vascular lesions
- removal of functionally significant lesions
- correction of residual deformity
- possible surgical excision
- individualized treatment selection.
Preparation
The vascular nature of the lesion should be confirmed before treatment. Ultrasound, other imaging, or observation may be required.
How the procedure is performed
When surgery is selected, the lesion is excised with appropriate bleeding control and plastic closure of the resulting defect.
Result / recovery
Outcome depends on lesion depth and location. Surgical treatment leaves a scar.
