Revision rhinoplasty is performed after one or more previous nasal operations. Scar tissue, tissue deficiency, and altered anatomical landmarks make secondary surgery a distinct reconstructive challenge. At Ahvar Clinic, the feasibility and extent of revision are evaluated individually.
What it addresses / benefits
- correction after previous rhinoplasty
- restoration of structural support
- management of scar-related changes
- correction of asymmetry and deformity
- functional reconstruction when indicated.
Preparation
Detailed analysis of previous surgery and current anatomy is required. Previous operative records are useful when available.
How the procedure is performed
The surgeon releases scarred structures and performs the necessary reconstruction. Cartilage grafting may be required to restore support.
Result / recovery
Revision surgery is generally more technically demanding than primary rhinoplasty, and final tissue settling may take longer.
