Localized Liposuction

Localized liposuction is a surgical procedure used to remove limited fat deposits and improve the contour of selected areas, including the abdomen, behind the ears, and shoulders.

Liposuction is used to reshape localized fat deposits that persist despite stable body weight and lifestyle measures. It is not a treatment for obesity and is not intended for major weight loss. The original Ahvar price-list entry appears to include the abdomen/umbilical area, behind the ears, and shoulders. Suitability for liposuction in each area is determined individually after examination by a plastic surgeon.

What it addresses / benefits

  • correction of localized fat deposits
  • improvement of body contour in selected areas
  • treatment of relatively small anatomical regions
  • individualized amount of fat removal
  • possibility of combining several areas in one procedure when appropriate.

Preparation

Before surgery, the plastic surgeon assesses fat thickness, skin quality, local anatomy, and the patient’s general health. Appropriate preoperative testing is performed.

How the procedure is performed

Through small surgical access points, a cannula is introduced into the subcutaneous layer and a planned amount of fat is removed. Technique and volume depend on the anatomical area and surgical plan.

Result / recovery

Swelling, bruising, temporary numbness, and early contour irregularities may occur. Final contour develops gradually as swelling subsides.
