Glycolic Facial Peel

A glycolic peel is a chemical exfoliation treatment based on an alpha-hydroxy acid and used for superficial skin renewal and texture improvement.

Glycolic acid belongs to the alpha-hydroxy acid family and is widely used in professional chemical peels. Treatment depth depends on concentration, pH, exposure time, and skin condition. For this reason, two glycolic peels can differ significantly in intensity even when they use the same type of acid. At Ahvar Clinic, glycolic peel parameters are selected individually after skin assessment.

What it addresses / benefits

  • superficial skin renewal
  • improvement of visual smoothness
  • treatment of uneven texture
  • support for a more even-looking skin tone
  • adjustable treatment intensity.

Preparation

The cosmetologist evaluates skin sensitivity and current active skincare products. Treatment may be postponed if the skin is irritated, damaged, or recovering from certain intensive procedures.

How the procedure is performed

A glycolic acid solution of an appropriate concentration is applied to prepared skin. Exposure time is controlled by the specialist. The skin is then treated according to protocol and finishing skincare is applied.

Result / recovery

Temporary tingling, redness, dryness, or mild peeling may occur. Sun protection is important after treatment.
