Manual therapy is not about “putting bones back into place.” It includes different hands-on methods used to work with joints and soft tissues. For selected forms of non-specific low back pain, manual therapy may be considered one component of multimodal management rather than a universal standalone treatment. At Ahvar Clinic, single-session and course options can be treated as pricing variants of the same service.
What it addresses / benefits
- work with movement restriction
- treatment of joints and soft tissues
- mobilization techniques
- inclusion in comprehensive recovery programs
- option for a single session or treatment course.
Preparation
The nature of pain should be assessed and conditions requiring different diagnostic or medical management excluded. Forceful manipulation should not be performed with recent trauma or unexplained neurological symptoms.
How the procedure is performed
The specialist assesses movement and functional restrictions and then applies appropriate mobilization, soft-tissue techniques, or manipulation.
Result / recovery
Response varies between patients. For back pain, manual techniques are generally more appropriate as part of a broader program that includes activity and exercise.
