Chin liposuction is a surgical method of correcting the lower face and neck. Its primary purpose is to remove localized fatty tissue and modify the contour of the submental area. A “double chin” may be influenced not only by fat but also by skin quality, muscle position, and jaw anatomy. Therefore, liposuction is not suitable for every patient. At Ahvar Clinic, the extent and surgical method are determined individually by a plastic surgeon after in-person assessment.

Preparation
A plastic surgery consultation and assessment of lower facial anatomy are required before surgery. The surgeon reviews medical conditions, medications, and previous procedures and determines the required preoperative evaluation.
How the procedure is performed
The surgeon marks the treatment areas and removes the required amount of subcutaneous fat through small access points using cannulas. The surgical technique and type of anesthesia are selected individually. Recovery recommendations are provided afterward.
Result / recovery
Swelling, bruising, and temporary changes in tissue sensitivity may occur. Contour is assessed after postoperative swelling subsides. Recovery time varies between patients.
