Scars form during tissue healing and vary considerably in structure. They may be atrophic, hypertrophic, keloid, or of another type. Laser methods are not suitable for every scar and cannot guarantee complete removal. The usual goal is to improve the appearance and structure of scar tissue. Preparation
The specialist evaluates the scar type, age, and characteristics. A tendency to keloid scarring, medications, and previous treatments should be reported. Not every scar type is suitable for laser correction.

Result / recovery
Scar changes develop gradually and do not mean complete disappearance. Some forms of laser treatment require a recovery period and strict sun protection.
