Osteoporosis is characterized by reduced bone strength and an increased risk of fractures. It may be associated with age, hormonal changes, certain medical conditions, medications, and other factors. Endocrinology evaluation helps identify relevant risk factors and possible metabolic or hormonal disorders that may affect bone health. At Ahvar Clinic, osteoporosis diagnosis and management are individualized according to age, medical history, diagnostic findings, and the patient’s overall condition.

What it addresses / benefits

  • assessment of osteoporosis and fracture risk
  • identification of possible endocrine contributors
  • interpretation of bone-related diagnostic findings
  • selection of prevention or treatment strategy
  • ongoing monitoring over time.

Preparation

Patients should bring previous diagnostic results, information about prior fractures, and a list of current medications. The doctor will also review associated conditions and family history. Further testing is determined individually.

How the procedure is performed

The endocrinologist evaluates risk factors, medical history, and available diagnostic findings. Additional assessment of bone health and metabolism may be recommended when needed. Based on the results, prevention, treatment, or observation is planned.

Result / recovery

The patient receives an individualized assessment of risk factors and recommendations. Confirmed osteoporosis may require long-term follow-up and periodic assessment of treatment effectiveness.
